'Honoo no Toukyuujo: Dodge Danko' Reveals Additional Cast Pair, Teaser Promo

The Avex Pictures booth at AnimeJapan 2026 event revealed a pair of additional cast and a teaser promotional video for the Honoo no Toukyuujo: Dodge Danko television anime on Saturday. The anime, adapting Tetsuhiro Koshita's sequel team sports manga, is scheduled to premiere on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11 in July 2026.

Voice actors Katsuyuki Konishi (Kimetsu no Yaiba) and Tetsu Inada (Boku no Hero Academia) are joining the cast as Danpei Ichigeki and Chinnen Kobotoke, respectively.

Hiroshi Ikehata (Witch Watch) is directing at Cue. Kazuho Hyoudou (Tonikaku Kawaii) is handling the series composition and Narihito Sekikawa (Tsuma, Shougakusei ni Naru.) is designing the characters.

Koshita began serializing the team sports manga, a sequel to his Honoo no Toukyuuji: Dodge Danpei manga, in Weekly CoroCoro Comic in November 2022. Shogakukan published the sixth volume in August 2025.

The original Dodge Danpei manga ran in Monthly CoroCoro Comic in 1989. Shogakukan published the 18th and final volume in June 1995.
