BREAKING: Trump agrees to suspend bombing Iran for two weeks

Donald Trump has announced he will suspend his threatened action against Iran if Tehran opens the Strait of Hormuz immediately.

The US president said he had received a "workable" 10-point proposal from Iran and had agreed a two-week ceasefire.

Iran has not responded to the announcement.

Trump had warned he would attack Iran if the Strait was not opened by 1am Wednesday UK BST.
