Ariana Grande is known for her powerhouse vocals, chart-topping hits, and sold-out tours. But as fans eagerly anticipate the next phase of her career, Grande has revealed she won’t be hitting the road for her music anytime soon — and the reason is refreshingly honest. The Grammy-winning artist and Golden Globe-nominated actress is prioritizing her newfound love for acting, declaring that the craft “feels like home” for her right now.

In an interview with Variety published December 17, Grande opened up about her current focus: “I feel so grateful to the acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don’t see it [touring] coming anytime soon.” While her loyal fans might be disappointed by the news, Grande’s pivot toward acting is a testament to her evolution as an artist. Playing Glinda the Good Witch in the Wicked movie adaptations has been a transformative experience for the star, who is embracing storytelling in a whole new way.

The first Wicked film debuted in November to critical and commercial success, with Grande’s portrayal of Glinda receiving widespread acclaim. As the release of Wicked 2: For Good looms in 2025, it’s no surprise that Grande’s energy is laser-focused on the role that has redefined her creative journey. “The next few years, hopefully we’ll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now,” she explained.

Rumors of a 2025 tour gained momentum earlier this month when Ticketmaster appeared to list events associated with Grande. However, her label, Republic Records, quickly dispelled the speculation. “There are no plans for a tour next year, but Ariana remains deeply appreciative of her fans and all their continued love, support, and excitement,” the label announced via social media.

This doesn’t mean Grande is turning her back on music — far from it. Her upcoming album, Eternal Sunshine, promises to be a deeply personal project that reflects her growth both as an artist and as an individual. While fans won’t see her on stage promoting the album in 2025, Grande’s connection to music remains unshakable. She’s even joked about staging performances in more intimate settings, saying, “I’ll perform at my mother’s house.”
A New Chapter: Grande’s Artistic Evolution

The decision to delay touring marks a significant shift for the singer, who hasn’t embarked on a world tour since her Sweetener era in 2019. That tour not only celebrated her album but also highlighted her resilience during a period of personal challenges. Now, with five years between her last tour and today, Grande’s decision reflects an artist who is taking charge of her narrative and embracing change.
For fans, this may be a bittersweet moment, but it’s also an exciting one. Ariana Grande’s refusal to be boxed into one artistic medium is a reminder of her versatility and courage to follow her heart. Whether she’s belting out anthems or enchanting audiences on the big screen, one thing is certain: Ariana Grande is always full of surprises — and undisputed talent.
