Den of Wolves is the upcoming co-op heist game from 10 Chambers, and despite being originally announced two years ago, we’ve not seen a great deal of it.

A new trailer finally debuted this week, showing off some new gameplay footage centred around community members playing, but it would be fair to say that it’s left some baffled.

Aside from not really getting to see a great deal of Den of Wolves, others complained that the whole thing felt painfully forced.

In the comments section, the word ‘cringe’ is thrown around a lot, prompting a response from the devs.

Over on the Den of Wolves Steam Community thread, 10 Chambers dev Spiken responded, stating:

“We were discussing the perception of a trailer like this before making it, funny understanding that the cynical view would be ‘fake’ but it is unscripted. First reactions of the game. We even asked the players not to exaggerate.

And I also fully understand that potentially puts more fuel in the ‘fake’ fire.”

It’s taken a while to know what to expect from the co-op heist game, and fans have suggested that maybe this route wasn’t the one to take.

We’re still waiting for a deeper look at the game, and arguably still are after this look at some GTFO speedrunners playing.

Here’s hoping we get a release window soon, because what is shown during the latest trailer certainly looks fun.
