The acquisition marks a significant milestone for Medguard Healthcare and reflects the company’s growth and position within the Irish healthcare market
Medguard Healthcare has confirmed that it is now officially part of Mediq, following the completion of Mediq’s acquisition of the Irish healthcare supplier.
The acquisition marks a significant milestone for Medguard Healthcare and reflects the company’s growth and position within the Irish healthcare market. It also signals the beginning of a new phase in which the organisation aims to further strengthen its support for healthcare providers across Ireland.
Medguard Healthcare will continue to operate under its existing brand, with no changes to its team, service model, or customer ordering channels. The company has stated that continuity for customers and partners remains a priority.
As part of the Mediq group, Medguard Healthcare will have access to a broader European platform, enabling greater resilience and creating opportunities to deliver additional value for customers and partners. The company also plans to further progress its focus on innovation and sustainability within healthcare.
Commenting on the acquisition, Lisa Mullaney, Managing Director of Medguard Healthcare, said:
“This is a celebratory milestone for the Medguard Healthcare team. With Mediq’s support, we can do even more for Irish healthcare, while staying true to the Medguard Healthcare way: customer-first, dependable, and proudly Irish.”
Rory Batt, Managing Director of Mediq UK & Ireland, welcomed Medguard Healthcare to the group, noting that its customer focus and strong local relationships complement Mediq’s broader European capabilities. He said the combined organisations would work together to advance Mediq’s mission to enable sustainable healthcare through dependable products, innovative solutions, and professional support.
Medguard Healthcare said it looks forward to this next chapter and to continuing its role in supporting healthcare professionals and patient care across Ireland.
