A Lamborghini worth in excess of £200,000 has been dramatically hauled off a Kensington street in a crackdown on luxury vehicle owners parking illegally.
The Lamborghini Urus S was towed away on Derry Street, just off High Street Kensington, London, today at around 4pm.
A PCN, which is a £160 fine for illegally parking, had been issued to the car owner and was seen on the car's windscreen.
The all-black supercar was picked up and towed by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) council and most likely taken to the Lots Road car pound.
RBKC's official Vehicle Removal Policy gives high priority to removing 'persistent evaders' - those with three or more unpaid tickets within just 15 minutes of a new violation.
Non-persistent evaders will also be removed after 30 minutes from the issue of a PCN in a bay.
It’s no secret that the RBKC, along with other councils, has been locked in a long-standing, high-stakes tug-of-war with the owners of the world's most expensive cars.

A few councils have been locked in a long-standing, high-stakes tug-of-war with the owners of the world's most expensive cars
As recently as December last year, neighbouring Westminster council said penalty charge notices handed to the motorists had not deterred drivers, and so they had been forced to remove some of the cars themselves.
Kensington and Chelsea have also previously issued noise-detecting cameras to deter inconsiderate drivers who rev their engines.
The council made the decision in 2020 after receiving several complaints from residents reporting loud Lamborghinis, McLarens and motorbikes around the streets at night.
