‘Tracker’ Just Dropped a Bombshell About Its Future—and Fans Have One Major Request

Attention, Tracker fans! We located Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley), and it looks like we’re going to spend more time with him on TV.

Ever since the CBS drama premiered back in 2024, fans haven’t been able to get enough of the series that follows a bounty hunter trying to solve various cases week after week. With Justin leading and executive producing the show, it’s become a smash hit among viewers every Sunday night on the network.

Given that Tracker season 3 is on hiatus until March 1, 2026, folks have been eager for any information about the show’s future. Well, an Instagram announcement revealed that Tracker got renewed for season 4 on CBS—and it looks like there are a lot more stories to come.

“Some good news for your feed,” the caption read on the January 22 post. “#TrackerCBS has been renewed for another season!”

Naturally, seeing this news about Tracker's future had fans all riled up.

Even though it’ll be some time before Tracker season 4 makes it on the air, some fans already have a request for what the show can bring in the new installment.

They’ve particularly enjoyed seeing Colter interact with his brother Russell Shaw (played by Jensen Ackles)—and they’d really love the character to have a full-time place on the show moving forward.

“Awesome news! Let's bring @jensenackles back permanently as Russell. Those 2 together are a hoot,” one person requested. “Excellent news … only way it could be better is if you announce Jensen as a series regular/recurring guest star (like recurring a LOT!!),” another penned. “Congratulations, now we need more Russell!! ❤️,” a different viewer noted.

Now, we’re never exactly sure what Tracker has up its sleeve when it comes to storylines. The only thing we know is that there’s more coming our way this year … and we’re seriously so thrilled.
