YouTube TV has officially rolled out its long-awaited new TV Plans. After months of teasers, the new structure is designed to give subscribers more control over what they watch and how much they pay - by breaking content into genre-based subscriptions.

The rollout begins this week, though YouTube TV says it will take several weeks before the plans reach all users. Still, pricing and content details are now official.

The Main YouTube TV Plan Pricing

The standard YouTube TV package remains unchanged at $82.99 per month, continuing to offer access to 100+ live TV networks across sports, entertainment, news, and local channels.

The new Plans don’t replace the main bundle. Instead, they offer lower-cost alternatives for viewers who don’t need everything included in the full package.

YouTube TV Sports Plan: Built for Live Games

The most anticipated option is the YouTube Sports Plan, which focuses heavily on live and on-demand sports coverage.

Pricing:

$64.99/month for existing users $54.99/month for new users (first year only)

Included content:

Major broadcast networks FS1 NBC Sports All ESPN networks ESPN Unlimited (launching later in 2026)

This plan is positioned as a significant discount compared to the full YouTube TV bundle while retaining access to the most in-demand sports channels.

YouTube TV Entertainment Plan: Popular Cable Without the Sports

For viewers who primarily want general entertainment, YouTube TV is also offering an Entertainment Plan.

$54.99/month $44.99/month for new users (first three months)

This plan cuts out most sports content in favor of lifestyle, reality, and scripted programming.

Regardless of which Plan you choose, YouTube TV says subscribers will continue to have access to core platform features, including:

According to YouTube TV, this is just the beginning. Over the next several weeks, the company plans to introduce more than 10 genre-based Plans across Sports, News, Entertainment, and Family categories.

Many of these new options will be priced $11 to $28 cheaper than the full YouTube TV bundle.

Why YouTube TV Is Doing This Now?

YouTube TV executives have previously described these Plans as a response to viewer frustration with rising streaming prices and oversized bundles. By offering smaller, targeted packages, the company hopes to give people the flexibility once had with traditional cable - without locking users into channels they never watch.
