The "evening with Louis Theroux" events will be held at Dundee's Caird Hall ( May 21st) and the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh (May 22nd), launching a new interview series, True Stories. More than 4000 tickets will go on sale later this week.
Over the two nights, he will share behind-the-scenes stories from a career in TV and film that has taken him face-to-face with some of the world's most extreme and controversial people and groups.

Last year, Theroux appeared in a BBC documentary about Israeli settlers in the West Bank which "shows the sobering reality of what is happening in the West Bank".
Previous documentaries have covered topics like hard drugs, neo-Nazism, and religious extremism.
Theroux will be interviewed by former journalist Ryan Crighton, who said: “True Stories is built on a very simple idea – that people are fascinated by the moments that shape remarkable lives.

Tickets for Dundee are on sale now, and tickets for Edinburgh go on general sale at 11am Wednesday.
Further speakers and cities will be announced later this year as the series expands across the UK.
