Nigel Farage didn't need to declare around £5m he received shortly before he became an MP because it was "private", Reform UK MP Suella Braverman has claimed.
Farage reportedly received around £5m from a British businessman based in Thailand, which should have been declared under parliamentary rules.
In a heated exchange, the Reform MP claimed the donation was "a personal gift for his private purposes" made before he was elected, and so doesn't need to declare it.
