Teens arrested after stolen car intercepted with wallets and bank cards seized
Three teenage boys have been arrested after a stolen car was intercepted in south Dublin in the early hours of Thursday morning. The operation was part of ongoing investigations targeting the activities of a criminal group involved in opportunistic thefts from parked cars, burglary and related crimes. In the early hours of Thursday morning, Gardaí intercepted a car in the Ballinteer area. The occupants of the car, three males, all in their mid-teens, were arrested. A number of stolen car keys, wallets and bank cards were recovered from the vehicle, along with balaclavas, iron bars, torches and snoods. The car had been reported stolen following a burglary in the Greystones area in recent days. A garda spokesperson said: "All three are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1994, at a Garda Station in South East Dublin. Investigations are ongoing."
