Man's body discovered in Grand Canal in west Dublin

A man's body was discovered in the Grand Canal in west Co Dublin this morning. The grim find happened in Coolscuddan, near Adamstown, at around 9:30am. Gardai say the body has been removed from the scene and the coroner has been notified. No foul play is suspected in the mans death, it is believed. A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí attended the scene following the discovery of the body of a man in the water at the Grand Canal, Coolscuddan, Co Dublin, this morning, Saturday 8th March 2025, at approximately 9.30am. "The man’s body has since been removed from the water and the coroner has been notified. Enquiries are ongoing. "No further information is available at this time."
