A major Revenue seizure worth over €1.5 million has been made at Dublin Airport.
Officers discovered 78kg of herbal cannabis at Dublin Airport earlier today thanks to detector dog Lusai. She sniffed out the illegal stash which was vacuum sealed and concealed in boxes labelled as "car seats".
According to Revenue, the cannabis is valued at approximately €1,560,000. It originated in Asia and was addressed for a premises in Dublin.
A Revenue spokeswoman said: "Investigations are ongoing. This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs. If businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on 1800 295 295."
