New Balance 'comfy' trainers slashed by 40% in sale

For anyone searching for fresh spring trainers, New Balance has reduced the price of a popular pair by a substantial 40%. The U509V1 Shoes, previously priced at €130, are now available for €78.

According to the product description: "These comfortable shoes are inspired by 2000s' running styles. ABZORB midsole absorbs impact through a combination of cushioning and compression resistance."

The synthetic and mesh design of the trainers makes them ideally suited for milder spring weather, reports the Liverpool Echo.

For those drawn to a retro aesthetic, Next has the Friends Like These Pink LaceUp Retro Gumsole Sports Trainers at €46.50. The trainers are offered in two separate colourways - see them here.

If you're after something more eye-catching, Clarks features these Coralea Lace Metallic Trainers at €70, offered in pink metallic, silver metallic and gold metallic choices. View the trainers here.

Within the New Balance customer feedback, one buyer commented: "They are marvellous and really help my very bad balance. Thank you. I will continue to purchase in the future. I have also told my friends who struggle with their balance and comfort and they will consider purchasing in the near future."

Another customer noted: "Very comfortable every day shoes. Always on my feet - because of my job - and [I] must say they're very comfortable. I also wear these on my walks everyday. Can't complain. Will definitely be buying another pair. 10/10! !". A third customer commented: "Top quality, don't feel plantar fasciitis wearing these beauties."

A fourth shopper stated: "Comfy trainers. Son loves them and said they fit great."
