Even though De’Anthony Melton has played in and started seven of the Golden State Warriors’ last eight games, he hasn’t been fully healthy, as head coach Steve Kerr shared after Melton finished scoreless in 25 minutes during Sunday’s loss to Denver.

“He’s banged up,” Kerr said, per Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area.

“His thumb is really bothering him, and I think he’s pressing a little bit. … De’Anthony will bounce back. He’s had a great season. His last couple games have been tough, but he’s banged up. We’ll help him get right. I have total faith in his ability to bounce back.”

Melton has played 8 seasons for 4 teams, including the Grizzlies and Warriors. He has averaged 9.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 399 regular-season games.
