Nine million voters stripped from electoral roll in Bengal ahead of India's state elections

The results from India's state elections are due on Monday and prime minister Narendra Modi's party is expected to do well.

But behind the scenes, his government has been accused of using the country’s electoral commission to stop Muslim voters having their say - with millions struck off the electoral rolls.

India's electoral commission has denied the allegations.
