Sir Keir Starmer says he wants to see "tougher action" taken against protesters using certain phrases at Gaza demonstrations.
The prime minister stopped short of agreeing with calls for a ban on the marches, which have become a source of concern after the stabbing of two Jewish men in Golders Green on Wednesday.
Starmer said protesters at the marches have a responsibility to call out those chanting "globalise the intifada", after he signalled that he supported prosecuting those who use the phrase.
