Since the end of the Second World War, America has been the bedrock of European security, helping a divided continent deter attacks from the much larger and frequently aggressive neighbour to the east - Russia. But with Donald Trump back in the White House and Putin on the warpath, questions have been raised about whether Europe could actually defend itself if fighting breaks out. From manpower, to logistics, money and political willpower, these are all the problems Europe would need to fix if it were to stand a chance.
