Donald Trump has told Sky News he does not know whether King Charles’s state visit to the US will help improve his relationship with Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Speaking to Sky’s Mark Stone, the US president said he likes Starmer “very much”, but criticised his policies on immigration and energy, describing them as “tragic mistakes”.
When asked about the King’s visit, Trump said the monarch is “a much different person than your prime minister”.
He adds: "your prime minister has to learn to deal the way he deals, and he’ll do a lot better.”
